This event aims to shed light on the issues affecting men and boys while fostering a sense of community and support \nDate and Venue: \nTAPA-Uganda International Men’s Day 2023 will kick off with a Men and Boys Sensitization Talk on November 18\, 2023\, at the Police Football Pitch in Mbarara District\, Uganda. Starting at 9 AM (UTC+3)\, this informative session will address critical topics related to the well-being of men and boys. \nThe following day\, on November 19\, 2023\, a Friendly Football Match will take place at Kakyeka Stadium in Mbarara District\, Uganda. This event is not just about sports but also about fostering camaraderie and breaking down societal barriers that may hinder open conversations. \nEmpowering Talks: \nThe Men and Boys Sensitization Talks will feature experts in the field\, addressing issues such as mental health\, societal expectations\, and the importance of open communication. The goal is to create an environment where men and boys feel comfortable discussing their challenges and seeking support. \nFriendly Football Match: \nBeyond the talks\, the Friendly Football Match provides a platform for physical activity\, teamwork\, and friendly competition. Sports have the power to bring people together\, and this match aims to promote positive interactions among participants. \nZero Male Suicide Initiative: \nOne of the core messages of TAPA-Uganda International Men’s Day 2023 is the belief that together\, we can achieve zero male suicide.
